Pastor Warren Lamb
Pastor Warren Lamb, a self-described “recovered psychologist,” brings over three decades of pastoral ministry experience to his role as Founder and Director of Truth in Love Biblical Counseling (TILBC). His unique journey began with studies in philosophy and a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Washington. However, his life took a transformative turn when he came to Christ at age 31, leading him from psychology to pastoral ministry.
Warren’s extensive background encompasses teaching, conference speaking, and biblical counseling. He specializes in trauma and abuse counseling, with a particular focus on helping the sexually broken, including those struggling against unwanted same-sex attraction. His book, “Behind the Veil: Exposing the Evil of Domestic Oppression and Providing Hope,” provides crucial guidance for churches in addressing the rising problem of domestic oppression.
As the developer of the “Unbound: Growing Ever-freer in Christ” curriculum, Warren has helped thousands find a path to fruitful and vibrant freedom in Christ. His expertise extends to guiding churches through the aftermath of leadership moral failures and training biblical counselors, bringing his unique perspective as a “recovered psychologist” to these challenging situations.
Warren’s passion lies in discipleship, as he puts it: “helping people understand the nature and character of God so that they can fully live as Christ intended for them to live.” This passion drives his work as a frequent keynote and workshop presenter at conferences and as a visiting professor at SEBI (Sociedade de Estudos Bíblicos Interdisciplinares) in Brazil.
In 2017, Warren and his wife, Connie, relocated to Orange County, CA, expanding his ministry reach while continuing to bring years of practical experience to the field of biblical counseling. He now ministers personally in both Washington and California, leveraging his background as a “recovered psychologist” to offer a distinctive approach to pastoral care and counseling.
Warren’s expertise and commitment to biblical counseling have led him to recognize and endorse the valuable work of other organizations in the field. One such endorsement is for the Reproductive Loss Network:
“One of the many blessings we found with Tanya, Tricia, and the Reproductive Loss Network is their compassionate, comprehensive, and solid biblical training and resources in this unusual niche. Not only have I personally grown from the training, but our staff and students have become better equipped to minister to those wounded through reproductive loss. RLN is one of our ‘Ministry Allies,’ and we are delighted to call them our friends.”
This endorsement underscores Warren’s commitment to comprehensive biblical counseling and his recognition of specialized ministries that address crucial needs within the Christian community, reflecting his journey from clinical psychology to Christ-centered ministry.
